Lighthouse Breakfast Bliss at Wickie’s Lighthouse Cafe

Open from 8 AM to 11:30AM for breakfast, they are open all day serving lunch and dinner too. This charming café welcomes diners with its cozy ambiance and delectable menu offerings. The best place for all of your favorite breakfast dishes. This is one of the best places for a Sunday Brunch! Wickies has not been open that long, just 2 years. It came to fruition after Hurricane Ian devastated the island and destroyed the Mad Hatter Restaurant, and when a fire closed destroyed a local favorite restaurant called the Island Cow (I mention it again later because it will reopen and was one of my favorites).
One of the café's signature dishes is the Wickie’s Famous Pancakes. These fluffy delights are crafted with precision, promising a melt-in-your-mouth experience with every bite. Pair them with maple syrup and fresh fruit for a breakfast that feels like a warm hug. The Belgian Waffles are a favorite also. The cafe's dedication to serving hearty and delicious meals has made it a go-to spot for locals and tourists alike, earning it a place on the list of best breakfast spots in Sanibel.

Other places to think about for a future visit.
The Island Cow is a wonderful restaurant that has operated on the island for 20 years. Temporarily closed, but will be reopening soon, the island cow brings Caribbean flavors to Sanibel. I am not sure what the menu items will be when it reopens, but if it is anything like the past I can assure you it will be great. Located at 2163 Periwinkle Way, look out for it in the suture when this local favorite opens back up.
The Blue Giraffe Restaurant is another amazing place for breakfast that is temporarily closed down. I always enjoyed the french toast and bacon when it was open. I can not find any information on reopening, but if it does you should check it out.
