Deck 2 & 3

Decks 2 and 3 serve as gateways to your ocean adventure. Here, you'll find the many styles of cabins, but they will be either Interior Cabins or Ocean view cabins. The staterooms are thoughtfully designed, ensuring comfort and tranquility after a day of adventure. I tend to book interior cabins and love them. I have found interior cabins give enough space to easily fit a solo or 2 people. Although it is more crowded with 4 in a cabin I have done it, and still enjoyed my cruise.

Deck 4 & 5

The heart of entertainment lies on decks 4 and 5. The theater showcases Broadway-style shows, while live music and performances light up the night at various lounges. For the avid gamer, the casino offers excitement and challenges. Enjoy fine cocktails at the Schooner Bar, where each sip accompanies soothing piano melodies. Also, the main dining room, where exquisite meals await. Each meal is an opportunity to explore diverse culinary delights, from classic dishes to innovative creations.

Crafting Your Perfect Cruise Experience

Planning your cruise on the Vision of the Seas doesn't have to be complicated. Here are some tips to make the most of your voyage:

  • Choosing the Right Cabin: Consider your preferences and budget. Oceanview staterooms offer breathtaking vistas, while suites provide extra space and luxury. For travelers with several in each cabin there can be bunk bed style beds, sets of twin beds that convert into a Royal king bed or pullman beds in each room. You can find adjoining rooms for those with large families too. Cabin plans from Balcony, Oceanview, or interior cabins can vary. Base your cruise on what you can afford. Never decide not to take a cruise because you can only afford an interior cabin. I love the interior rooms, and traveling on a budget is what I have to do.

  •  Maximizing Onboard Activities: Whether you want to catch a show or try rock climbing, plan your days to fit in all the activities you desire. Royal Caribbean's daily schedules make it easy to keep track of events. You can find free activities that are included in the cruise, like trivia. Or you can play Bingo for a fee. Download the Royal Caribbean app on your phone to keep up to date on the daily schedule. It is very useful for boarding and so much more too.

  • Planning Shore Excursions: Research your ports of call and book excursions in advance. From snorkeling in crystal-clear waters to exploring historic landmarks, every excursion adds a new chapter to your cruise story. Onshore adventures can be expensive, so it is always important to plan ahead. Look at what the cruise line offers as shore excursions and what 3rd party vendors like Viator or GetYourGuide offer in the area.

  • Planning the length of your cruise: The length of your cruise can help to determine the price of your cruise, as shorter cruises tend to be more budget friendly. Also since ships have port fees when they dock in a port, a cruise with more sea days can be more budget friendly than an 8 day cruise with 6 ports. Something to remember when planning. I always suggest new cruise travelers take a shorter cruise, 3 or 4 days, just to make sure they enjoy the cruise experience and don't feel like they wasted lots of money or time on a vacation they did not enjoy. At times booking last minute cruises or more than 1 year out will save you some money too.

  • Travel documents: Be sure to have on your body or carry on your passport or if you must have a valid ID and birth certificate when you board the cruise ship.A passport is the safest method, and as a travel agent highly recommend the use of this. Just remember that you cannot have it in your luggage when you drop off with the porter, as you need it to get on the ship. (Remember birth certificates are only allowed on closed loop cruises leaving from the United States)

  • Travel Insurance: You never know what will happen and it is always beneficial to have travel insurance to cover accidental loss of luggage, missing the cruise due to canceled or delayed flights, but most importantly for medical emergencies onboard the cruise ship. Travel insurance is the thing you buy and hope you never need to use. But if you need to use it, you will be grateful you had it. A travel agent or vacation planner can help you with the purchase of insurance, as buying it from the cruise line might not always be the best option.

For personalized assistance, consider using a travel agent who specializes in cruises. Their expertise can streamline the planning process, providing insights and recommendations tailored to your preferences.
