Each winery near the Grand Strand has a charm of its own, combining Southern hospitality with innovative winemaking techniques. You’ll discover boutique vineyards set in picturesque landscapes, lively festivals featuring local live music, and events that celebrate the art of winemaking. Let's pop the cork and get started! Muscadine Grapes are the most common for the area.

Nestled just minutes away from North Myrtle Beach, in Little River SC, La Belle Amie Vineyard is a local gem that combines a charming ambiance with a lively social scene. Picture this: rows of lush vines, warm Southern sunshine, and the sound of live music filling the air during one of their signature events. One of the things I love about this vineyard is the family story that goes behind it, with old grape vines from the property being used to make jams and jellies. 2 vines are 150 years old.

Why You'll Love It:

  • Wines: The vineyard produces a delightful range of muscadine wines, perfectly suited for relaxing afternoons.

  • Events: Don't miss festivals like the "Wine Fest" and "Summer Breeze," blending wine with live music and tasty snacks. A perfect event for wine lovers. They have a Saturday concert series and Wednesday Wine on the Decks too.

  • Ambiance: The cozy setting is perfect for a laid-back weekend. Grab a glass, sit back, and soak it all in!

La Belle Amie isn’t just about great wine; it’s a whole experience. Whether you're mingling at a festival or enjoying a quiet moment on their beautiful property, this is a must-visit during your Myrtle Beach getaway.

Tips for Planning Your Winery Visits

Before you grab your glass and head out, here are a few tips to make the most of your winery excursions:

  • Reserve in Advance

Some wineries, especially the more popular ones, require reservations for tastings and tours. Check their websites or give them a call to confirm availability. These can be a popular attraction during peak season.

  • Look Out for Events

Festivals, grape stomps, and themed wine tastings are common offerings. Plan your visit around these events for a more engaging experience. You will have a great time during any of the events that are happening.

  • Pace Yourself

With so many wineries to explore, it’s easy to get carried away. Limit yourself to 2-3 wineries per day to ensure you can fully enjoy what each has to offer. With the locations spread out away from the Grand Strand too, explore those areas. There are plenty to see in and around this area.

  • Take Home a Souvenir

Most wineries offer bottles for purchase or even a gift shop, so don't forget to grab a few favorites to enjoy back home. Some of the gift shops have so many more things then just wine. Which I absolutely love.

  • Savor the Food

Many wineries pair their wines with local snacks or even full menus. Make sure to treat your taste buds!  Homemade gourmet crackers, or a gourmet cheese dip could be favorite food pairings.

Sip, Savor, and Explore

There’s no better way to unwind, soak up local charm, and experience the Myrtle Beach area than by visiting its amazing wineries. Whether you’re sipping a crisp white at La Belle Amie, enjoying a tropical twist at Boardwalk Winery, or stomping grapes at Duplin, every stop promises a unique story and flavor.

Why explore these wineries alone when you could make it a shared experience? Plan a trip with friends and family or use this guide to surprise your significant other with a day of wine-filled adventure. Myrtle Beach has plenty to offer, so grab a glass and toast to your next unforgettable escape.

Cheers to good wine and better memories!
